A flagship 55-storey hotel with over 500 rooms requiring uninterrupted 24-hour cooling operations. The retrofit was delivered under a 15-year Retrofit–Operate–Transfer (ROT) model.
Challenge
The hotel’s chiller plant was located on the 11th floor. Replacement had to be executed without interrupting guest comfort or daily operations. Continuous cooling was critical for all rooms, event spaces, and common areas.
Solution
Two new high-efficiency water-cooled chillers were installed with advanced performance monitoring and energy control systems. The retrofit and transfer were completed smoothly under the ROT model, ensuring guaranteed reliability and energy performance.
Outcome
The project achieved 28% energy savings, reducing consumption by 1.5 million kWh annually and avoiding 696 tonnes of CO₂ emissions. The hotel now operates with improved system reliability, stable cooling supply, and long-term performance assurance.
